Triple P Parenting
We are very excited to be able to offer parents the opportunity to attend an eight session Parenting Programme here at Abbey Park School.
Triple P – Positive Parenting Program® is a multi-level system of family intervention for parents of children and adolescents who have, or are at risk of developing, behavioural or emotional problems. The programme is designed to support you in your parenting role by increasing your competence and confidence in managing common social, emotional and behavioural issues. All parents raising teenagers find it easier when they have support. The aim is to promote strategies you can use and adapt to change your teenager’s behaviour, reduce conflict and encourage communication therefore building a better relationship with your teenager.
We are able to offer you this unique opportunity here at Abbey Park School as we have three, Level 4 qualified Teen Triple P® practitioners. The programme consists of four group sessions followed by three 15-30 minute telephone calls and a final group session, which allows you to review and share your achievements.
Abbey Park School have invested in this Programme because we believe having a strong relationship between parents and staff can really benefit your teenager academically, socially and emotionally.
Once Covid-19 restrictions are lifted, we intend to recommence the Programme. Groups will have up to a maximum of 10 parents. Places will be given on a first come first served basis.
As we are committed to supporting our parents and young people, we are flexible with the times we offer because we understand that not everyone is able to attend during the day.
