16.06.25 The Year 11s were clapped into the hall after their final exam by cheering students and proud staff, a moment filled with pure happiness, nervous energy and a fair few high-fives! Inside, their Tutors stood up and spoke from the heart about just how much this group has grown (and not just in height ). Mr Ward, the Principal, shared a few pearls of wisdom, the Head Boy and Head Girl made us reflect, and appreciate all the amazing moments we’ve shared. Mrs Hatcliffe, their proud Head of Year, read a poem that captured their journey, their friendships, their achievements and all the wonderful things that lie ahead. Her voice started to wobble and the tears in her eyes said it all — pure happiness, immense Pride, and a touch of sadness at seeing them move on. The students received their rewards, a mixture of the serious and the fun! There were “Most Likely To...” Awards (ranging from “Most Likely to Become Prime Minister” to “Most Likely to organise the reunion”) each presented with a miniature trophy, a shimmering sash and a certificate to celebrate their unique personalities and achievements. They tasted some well-deserved celebratory cakes, filled their shirts with messages from friends, turning them into wonderful canvases of memories, this time they had permission to take more photos and videos of a wonderful Leavers Assembly. We are so incredibly proud of this remarkable, mischievous, loving, ambitious and all-round wonderful group. Whatever path they take, we know they’re going to do it in style!
