Year 7 Math's trip to Bletchley Park

On Wednesday 5th July, 39 year 7s went to Milton Keynes to visit Bletchley Park. We took part in a workshop, about coding and ciphers. Coding activities (and challenges!) included; Morse code and transposition ciphers.

We had a tour around Bletchley Park, and as well as learning about the rich and significant history behind the park, we were fortunate enough to see and use an enigma machine! We were able to visit the various bunkers and see the equipment and historical figures from WW2. We visited the memorial of the Polish men and woman involved in the code breaking operations.
